BELAIR MANSION IN THE SNOW Click on small picture to enlarge Belair, is a beautiful five-part Georgian-style mansion built in 1745, and was the home to Samuel Ogle (1694-1752), three-time provincial governor of Maryland. This Plantation later belonged to his brother-in-law, Col. Benjamin Tasker (1720-1760), and subsequently to Samuel Ogle's son, Gov. Benjamin Ogle I (1749-1809), who was Governor of Maryland from 1798 to 1801. In 1898 Belair was purchased by the Woodward family, and restored and enlarged between 1910 and 1914.
