CATHERINE OGLE GOODRICH

Catherine Ogle was the 7th daughter of Benjamin Ogle II and Anna Maria Cooke Ogle, born on July 9, 1810 at Belair Mansion the family plantation in Prince George's County, Maryland. Catherine's Grandfather, Benjamin Ogle I, was governor of the State of Maryland and her Great Grandfather, Samuel Ogle was a three time provincial Governor. On August 16, 1838 she married the Rev. Charles Goodrich. After the marriage the couple left immediately for New Orleans as Charles had been appointed Rector of St. Paul's Church in New Orleans. Catherine Ogle Goodrich died in Baltimore on September 5, 1848 after a painful and lingering illness and was buried in Greenmount Cemetery, Baltimore. See page on Rev.
